Things are growing and ripening nicely, and we’re regularly harvesting various herbs and salad leaves. I even had my first two home-grown carrots this morning.

Birds stole the first strawberry that was beginning to ripen, so I’ve rigged up mesh cages with netting around them around the window-boxes with strawberries to keep the thieves out. No berries for you, birdies!

Hmmm, my plan for today involved cleaning and tidying the house, doing some grocery shopping and laundry, paying some bills and maybe doing some artwork. But there is nothing as relaxing as pottering in the gardening on an unexpectedly sunny day…
