Today is the Spring equinox, and it was also a beautiful day for gardening.

After months of neglect, the garden finally got some attention.

I’ve planted out seedlings of tomatoes, basil, lettuces, butter beans, chilli, oregano, capsicum, strawberries, pizza and lemon thyme, as well as pansies, lobelias and heartsease, while Andrew is trying his hand at growing coriander from seed. We’re also trying some miniature fruit trees: one pear and one nectarine.

I think the result is reasonably satisfactory given the limitations imposed by renting… but it would all look so much more picturesque with a cat curled up in one of the pots.
