Incubating my illustrations

May 16, 2011

Art prints of my illustrations are now available from in.cube8r Gallery at 321 Smith St in Fitzroy. There are several different designs available, (not all pictured here), in three sizes. The prints are vibrantly printed with high quality, archival inks on subtly textured acid-free paper. The range currently available features various creatures: dogs, cats, jungle animals and dinosaurs. Hopefully over the next few weeks I’ll gradually add more different designs.

You may not have come across in.cube8r Gallery, but it is a rather special little gallery-shop which only stocks the creations of crafters and artists who create items by hand or in limited runs. The space is divided into small sections (of varying shapes and sizes to suit different kinds of work), and creators rent a section in which to display their wares. You can see part of my little partition space below.

If you enjoy browsing and shopping for items that aren’t run-of-the-mill, and particularly if you like supporting local artisans, in.cube8r is a great place to explore. You’ll find an eclectic and often quirky array of jewellery, ceramics, woodwork, textiles, toys, homewares, prints, original artworks, cards, clothing and gifts.

Best wishes with this new endeavor! I think I see “Poundcake cat” in one print. Lately a solid yellow stray has been hanging around our house, and we call him Poundcake 🙂
